Welcome to the Old Toy Knitting Shop

At the Old Toy Knitting Shop, we sell vintage/old toy knitting patterns from a large collection gathered over many years. We are keen knitters and now design beautifully reformatted/laminated vintage/old toy knitting patterns in large print and presented in a comb binder; so no more squinting or worrying about spoiling that precious toy knitting pattern.

Also featured here is the work of GEORGINA MANVELL; a very talented knitting and crochet designer whose patterns have been shown in My Weekly and Home & Country (WI) magazines. She is also well known for her work as a tutor at Denman College (Women's Institute) near Oxford. Her most famous pattern is for Little Knittington; a beautiful knitted village. Her new designs will be featured soon; so watch this space!

Simon the Baleful (Gargoyle)

Simon measures 14cm (5.5 in) high at shoulder when completed in DK yarn.

He is made using plastic safety eyes with washers. He is just the right size to sit on your computer or hang in your car!

Little Christmas Angels

There are three designs of angel included in this pattern.The basic Angel with lacey pattern knitted with 1 ball of crochet cotton;

A second angel with the addition of 90 small beads sewn around the bottom edges of the dress and sleeves;

The third angel has 326 small beads worked into the lacey pattern.

The head is a cotton ball available from any good craft shop
