LINCOLN IMP toy knitting pattern .Lincoln Cathedral by Georgina Manvell

One day , according to a very old legend, two imps, while out to play, were blown all the way to Lincoln. At first they were so awestruck by the beauty & splendour of the Cathedral that they were afraid to enter. However, one imp plucked up courage and flew into the Cathedral where he tried to trip up the Lord Bishop and knock over the Dean. When he fiendishly started to throw rocks, an angel told him to stop his wicked doings. He cheekily replied “stop me if you can”. Whereupon he was at once turned into stone and made to sit for evermore in a cleft in the Angel Choir.

This little fellow measures 25 cm from head to toes when completed in 4 ply yarn. You can of course use DK yarn but your imp will be a little bigger. It makes a lovely mascot. He is an intermediate knit.
