FAIRFAX knitting needle gauge

This vintage gauge was produced in 1896 by Robert Hogg.

He was a London Haberdasher and name the gauge after his address Fairfax Ave.

We have only seen a few in all our years of collecting gauges.Robert lived to the grand old age of 95 with five daughters and three sons.He bought the business of Cox and Co in 1865 and the company survived until the 1950s.

Centrepoint in London now stands on the site of the old company.

Also  included is the rare Womans World green painted steel Interwar gauge.Probably made by Morralls
